Acer announced its LumiRead, a 6-inch e-book reading device that is “seamlessly integrates in the Acer clear.fi solution to let people live through a 360-degree Acer experience.” The LumiRead features a 6-inch e-ink display, 2GB internal flash memory, QWERTY keyboard, and a microSD card slot.
The Acer LumiRead is just few mm thick. It can access Barnes & Nobles’ e-book store via WiFi or optional 3G module. No words yet on availability.
Paradigm Shift launches its new EER-051D 5-inch e-book reader that will be released in May this year 2010 for $130. The gadget comes with a 5-inch e-ink display and 2GB internal memory and a SD memory card slot.
The EER-051D supports DRM-enabled ePub, ANSI, Unicode TXT, DOC, PDF, HTML, FB2 and PDB e-book formats. It supports also MP3 and MP4 playback and has integrated FM tuner. It comes in blue, pink, green, black and silver.
